Workshop Safety Officer 5,000-7,000 CNY

1. Take the lead in implementing physical safety measures such as isolation, testing, cordoning off, fire protection and arrangement of emergency supplies for special operations including hot work and confined space entry; on-site confirmation shall be completed before operation commences;

2. Participate in Pre-Startup Safety Review (PSSR) confirmation for production feeding and maintenance restart, and verify that safety measures including process interlocks, pressure relief systems, static grounding, safety attachments and alarm devices are intact and functional;

3. Organize and implement hardware safety measures covering temporary storage of hazardous chemicals, leakage prevention and on-site protection for pickling & cleaning operations. In case of abnormal leakage, seepage, dripping or spilling of materials, coordinate with work teams for on-site disposal and isolation control;
4. Carry out daily inspection, replenishment and replacement of emergency equipment including fire-fighting facilities, eyewash stations and gas-proof protective gear to ensure usable on-site emergency supplies;
5. Lead the implementation of hazard rectification measures, deploy temporary control measures, recheck rectification results on site, and avoid paper-only closed-loop rectification without actual on-site improvement;
6. Organize safety briefings and hands-on emergency drills to improve frontline staff’s ability to implement safety measures;

7. Supervision serves only as an auxiliary management tool: review the execution of established safety measures, prioritize on-site guidance and rectification assistance; stop and report any violations where safety measures are willfully ignored.

 

Job Requirements

1. Education & Major: College diploma or above; majors in chemical engineering or safety management are preferred. Prior on-site working experience in Class A chemical workshops is a plus.
2. Certifications: Possess enterprise safety officer certificate; candidates with professional safety management training experience in hazardous chemical enterprises are preferred.
3. Knowledge & Competencies: Familiar with hazard characteristics of dangerous chemicals; proficient in safety control standards for special operations such as hot work, confined space entry and temporary electricity usage; grasp basic safety knowledge of reactors, pressure relief systems, process interlocks and static grounding.
4. Practical Skills: Capable of leading the deployment of on-site physical safety measures and identifying field hazards; competent in formulating hazard rectification plans and verifying closed-loop rectification results on site; able to organize on-site safety briefings and basic hands-on emergency drills.
5. Professional Qualities: Focus on driving practical implementation rather than mere inspection; good at collaborating with production and maintenance teams on safety management. Bold enough to halt high-risk operations, pragmatic and result-oriented with focus on actual on-site equipment conditions instead of paperwork alone.
6. Others: Able to conduct regular on-site patrols in workshops and familiar with production processes; capable of basic safety ledger documentation.
